An amazing speaker
We were delighted to have such an amazing speaker in to our class today.
Imogen Cotter is the new Irish women’s elite road race champion, having won the title in Coolbeg, Rathnew, Co Wicklow.

Winter Trees
We are really noticing the change in temperature in the past week.
This week we learned about the season of winter.
We painted winter trees. These trees had no leaves on them.
We painted snow with our fingers .
Maths Stations
We are starting Maths stations next Friday in 1st and 2nd class.
We are looking forward to playing maths games and reinforcing our learning using concrete materials and going over topics we find tough!
Mr. Barrett will be joining us in our classroom to facilitate the stations.
Literacy Lift Off
LLO is finishing up this week in 1st and 2nd Class.
It has been a great intervention and we are going to continue the levelled readers for the next few months.
The children really enjoy reading different level appropriate readers and reading full books weekly.
We are looking forward to starting ‘Guided Reading’ next week.
